Paris / Moscow was Lagerfeld’s excursion into the Russian chapter of Gabrielle Chanel’s own history: Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich, Ballets Russes, Constructivism, Byzantine jewellery and ornament all fed into a collection that could be described described as one of his “light but learned” historical fantasies.

This suit takes that richness and turns it into something unusually composed: deep chocolate tweed, bronze shimmer, fur edging and jewel buttons — opulent, but never unruly

• Crafted from signature chocolate-brown tweed, densely woven with a subtle bronze-satin shimmer

• The colour moves between dark cacao, walnut, bronze and smoky taupe depending on the light

• The jacket is framed with brown-beige shearling / astrakhan-style fur trim, running around the collar, front, cuffs and lower edge

• Masterpiece Gripoix jewel buttons punctuate the front in ornate, baroque-style settings

• Inside, both pieces are finished with tonal silk lining
