A zigzag drawn in black thread
This is one of the most beautiful tweeds of Karl Lagerfeld's Paris–Monte Carlo Métiers d'Art collection: a black Lesage tweed lit with small flecks of colour, then embroidered across its whole surface in a running zigzag of black thread, so the cloth seems to move like light on night water. The same tweed walked the runway as a long hooded coat.
Long, sharply tailored and fastened with CC tweed buttons, it is a jacket for every day and every evening, a rare collector's piece in pristine condition.
