Paris–Salzburg was one of Lagerfeld’s most personal Métiers d’Art collections: Tyrolean embroidery, alpine dress, military tailoring, lace, ribbons and the visual memory of Austria all passed through the Chanel ateliers and came out sharper, lighter and much more modern.

• Crafted from a soft ribbed knit in a rich burgundy-red shade

• The colour sits between garnet, dark raspberry and warm wine, giving the surface depth without becoming overly bright

• Fine vertical ribbing elongates the silhouette and gives the knit a clean, architectural rhythm

• A tonal Edelweiss patch sits at the chest, rendered in the same burgundy palette for a subtle, almost relief-like effect

• A CC logo drawstring at the waist gathers the silhouette and adds a discreet House signature

• The drawstring ends are finished with small metallic tips, giving the soft knit a sharper detail

• The high neck is finished with ruffled edging, adding a delicate note to the otherwise streamlined shape
