Paris–Salzburg gave Lagerfeld one of his most productive contrasts: Austrian uniform discipline against Chanel ornament.
The collection borrowed from alpine tailoring, hotel uniforms, military lines and Salzburg page-boy references, then sharpened them with leather, braid and jewellery.

• Crafted from dense dark navy tweed, rich enough to read almost black in lower light

• The deep navy base creates a sober field for the darker leather and jewel hardware

• The front is framed with black and dark-brown leather trim, cut into a sharp zigzag motif

• The leather gives the skirt a graphic, almost uniform-like edge while preserving the tactile character of the tweed

• jewel Gripoix jewel buttons with pearl accents and CC logos punctuate the front in a precise rhythm
