— For Resort 2014, Lagerfeld took Chanel to Singapore and deliberately kept the palette tight: black, white, ivory, marine and navy.

Vogue noted that the graphic black-and-white woven curtains of traditional Singaporean homes helped shape the collection’s visual language, while the tailoring looked back to Gabrielle Chanel’s own early borrowings from menswear and sportswear.
